A CAT SLIPPED IN MY KITCHEN.

To me, these last weeks have got an only and unexpected main character: a fleeting nameless cat that slipped in my house through the inner courtyards. I live in a sort of mezzanine. I ran into him first after listening a noise in the kitchen and there he was – well, rather jumped- quite nervous due to my presence. Soon after he went the way it came. Just jumping.

He came the next day, about at the same time, like a good animal used to routine. So, little by little we settled to each other, without startling, until a few days later I decided to feed him with mil. At first he sniffed it suspiciously, then he peeked shyly to the plate until he started to lick the milk, first carefully and then compulsively. I have to say, it felt good to see how he finished the milk, so after this success I went to the supermarket to buy a can of cat food. He wolfed it down.
Well, I wonder if he will be back tomorrow.

UN GATO SE HA COLADO EN MI COCINA.

Para mí estas últimas semanas han tenido un único e inesperado protagonista: un fugaz gato sin nombre que se ha colado en mi casa a través de los patios interiores. Vivo en una especie de entresuelo.

Topé por primera vez con él tras escuchar un estruendo en la cocina y ahí andaba -más bien saltaba- muy nervioso ante mi presencia.
Al poco se fue por donde vino. De un salto.
Volvió al día siguiente, casi a la misma hora, como buen animal de costumbres. Así poco a poco nos fuimos adaptando el uno al otro, ya sin sobresaltos, hasta que pasados los días me decidí a darle un poco de leche; él primero la olfateó desconfiado, después fue asomando tímidamente hasta el plato hasta que finalmente empezó a lamer la leche, primero con cautela y luego ya en lapsos rápidos y continuados. Reconozco que ver cómo se la acababa me hizo sentir bien, así que tras el éxito no tardé mucho en ampliar la oferta y al día siguiente bajé al super para comprar una lata de comida de gato. Se la zampó entera.

En fin. Me pregunto si volverá mañana.
